Happy New Year!
So... I'm a little behind. meh.
The new year started off with my being snowed in at my parents' house, then coming down with some sinus-congestion thing that I've just this last weekend rid myself of. I did get back to Tillamook before everybody else was iced over, and luckily we just had one day of relatively minor inconvieniences. But enough about the weather...
So I head off to Europe in a few days. It is very exciting. I am totally not ready or packed in any way, but I'm sure that will all pull itself together, no problem. There are already many plans afoot about what will be going-on during my stay. But basically I'll arrive in London, poke around there for the day, stay the night with Trevor and Brent at Brent's flat, then the three of us will take the Eurostar train throrough the Chunnel for 3 days/2 nights in Paris. ooh la la!
Then after that... plans aren't so concrete. Trevor has some ideas. Some of these are good ones. Certainly not all. In any case I'm sure I will enjoy just being there quite a bit. And of course I will enjoy the many forms of public transport available. I will try to keep everyone up-to-date on what is going on via this site, but I can't make any promises!

please don't say "ooh la la" anymore.
or "oh la la," either, for that matter, though that is a closer approximation of what french people say.
that's like a french person saying "oh my gosh" every time anyone mentions america.
please.
thank you.

Speaking of Europeans having sterotypes of America... In a grocery today, Trevor showed me the "American Foods" section, which to me looked like the "Southern Foods" section, with everything but the grits. Kind of messed up.
