100 Years of Flight

Today is the 100 year anniversary of the Wright Brothers' first powered flight. I think that itis utterly amazing what has been accomplished in the span of a mere 100 years. Flight has completely transformed transportation, war, and science. Millions of people in tens of thousands of aircraft fly across great distances every day. Just yesterday Boeing anounced it would produce a brand new passenger jet. We've traveled above the sky and into space- in 100 years! It makes one wonder what the next 100 years will bring.

I have personally always enjoyed flight. From jumbo jets to 2-seaters where I was the one doing the flying, it always amazes me a little bit and usually puts a smile on my face.
