Mystic River

In Tillamook for the weekend, I stopped by the local cinema this evening to see Mystic River. It was that or Cat In The Hat, so the choice was clear. I hadn't heard a ton about the movie when it first came out, it was directed by Clint Eastwood, and had an all-star cast, so I gave it a shot. I enjoyed it. The working-class Boston neighborhood setting was great. Some of the coincidental connections among all of the characters seem difficult to believe at times, however. A few times you think you have the movie figured out, as do the characters in the movie. But we don't, and that's what tragedy is.
