Transit Association Conference
Yesterday and Today I attended the annual Oregon Transit Association Conference up in Seaside. As would be expected, I had a good time. It wasn't really geared toward people like me (board members) but I think I picked up a lot anyway. I certainly learned all about body-on-frame buses and met all of the local bus dealers. Overall the conference was more social than I expected, moreso than other professional conferences I've been to before. One fun highlight was riding in one of TriMet's experimental parallel-hybrid buses on the streets of Seaside. We got some quizzical looks. I stayed right at the Turnaround and the weather was wicked awesome for any time of the year.
