Traveling Plans

I have been enamored with thoughts of travel lately, as Trevor is gone, and heads off to England in a short while. Also, our recent trip made me renew my 50 by 30 resolve. But... I'm 27 and stuff, so let's take some time to figure out just what making that goal would take:

• One trip each to Alaska, Hawaii, and Florida.
• One large trip to the Northeast to knock off seven states there.
• At least two or three "purposeful" trips to the great middle to get such far-flung states as Colorado, Michigan, Lousiana, and 11 of of their pals.

So that's probably 7 trips to get the remaining 24 states. I'm going to start tracking my progress over here, we'll see how it goes!

I realize this is a selfish comment, but...if you're going to spend thousands of dollars traveling in the next three years, why wouldn't you do it in EUROPE with us? And do 50 x 40 instead?

that way, i don't have to go to north dakota and stuff.

question: why are some states blue and some grey (on your map)?

The blue states are ones I have visited.. the grey/purplish ones are "airport" states- so if it gets to crunchtime, I guess I could count them, but those 3 states aren't the most out of the way, so I don't think they'll be the problem.
