Hoquarten Trail

Earlier this evening, I took a walk over on the new Hoquarten Slough Interpretive Trail. It has just recently been hacked out of the brush, and it is shaping up to be pretty neat. The National Park Service has been sponsoring a program for artists to come out and do a lot of work on the trail. The Hoquarten Slough runs right through town. In fact, the trailhead is across the street from where I work! As the project becomes further along, this is going to be a wonderful, natural amenity close-in to town. I think it could be like Alton Baker Park on a smaller scale.
