Last Week Quickies

I hate to put things here just because I feel like I should, but, but- it's been a week! heavens me!

I saw a UPS truck the other day with the new fancy design. I think I have to agree that the original logo really says "hey, we deliver packages" more effectively than the new one does.

Big news in the blog world these days. The company that makes the Moveable Type software that makes this site more possible is putting out a hosted service. Also Blogger has got a new version (codename: dano) on the way.

I finished another book, The Cluetrain Manifesto. I took it out of the library at the same time I took out Holidays on Ice, so it took me a while to get through it. It was an easy enough read, I just didn't allocate enough time at once toward it. I don't think nonfiction captures my attention as well as fiction does. Case in point, I took out a work of literature last week that I nearly finished this weekend.

Speaking of this weekend, I headed over to camp for the work weekend. Also there were my parents & John & Michelle. We painted some bunks, fixed some benches at the firebowl, and hung coat-racks in the new kybos. There was a good turnout, especially from summer camp staff.

I kind of like the new UPS logo. I think that UPS is so well-known now that they don't NEED a picture of a package with a pretty bow on it to tell you what their business is. Change is good.
