Apartmenniversary

As I dropped my rent check in the mail yesterday, I realized that it marked one year in my place. This time last year, I was frantically packing and moving things over the mountains. In fact, this will kick off a number of anniversaries over the next few weeks as I mark a year since I started Tillamook-ing.

My apartment is a nice place, it was built in 1998 so it is clean and new. Everything works, and I have modern conveniences like a washer, dryer, dishwasher and garbage disposal.

I do wish that I were closer to town, right now I have a short drive to work, but walking would be long and not always comfortable. I would rather be able to have a nice stroll each day. I might have to resurrect my bicycle for this summer. Also, I wish I had more of a porch or deck. My place has a little stair landing, which is great for my neighbor to smoke on, but not so much for BBQ'n.
